Little Bit of Life

This is Evan's favorite place to be. Most nights after we put him to bed, his last words are asking if we can go out to the farm and ride Otis. We rechristened the tractor Otis this year after his book about a little tractor of the same name. He even had a little trouble learning the name of the color orange at school last year, as anything orange to him was known as Kubota. But as for this picture, going shirtless was strictly his idea. As if listening to him talk wasn't enough, he apparently wanted to make doubly sure nobody mistakes him for a "city boy."

Night Out on the Town

The kids thoroughly enjoyed their Friday night out, especially the milkshakes, after Kaitlyn made it through the entire week on her best behavior at school, and Evan had no "accidents" for the entire week. Amanda and I did have to make a note to ourselves later that evening that allowing each to have an entire chocolate milkshake did not sit well.
